In the context of the visit to South East Asia of Commissioner Phil Hogan, Member of the European Commission responsible for Agriculture and Rural Development, the business delegation will visit Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia (November 2-9, 2016) as part of European Commission’s efforts to promote quality European food and beverage (F&B) products to Asian markets. The events scheduled for this intensive week of activities will showcase the quality and diversity of European F&B products while forging long-term cooperation between European and local companies in these markets.

52 European producers from 16 EU countries, representing 6 different product categories, including Meat, Poultry, Dairy, Fruit & Vegetables, Beverage and other Agricultural products, will visit the three countries. The focus of the  business activities in each market will include a series of business-to-business (B2B) meetings and events with local buyers, visits to trade fairs (Indonesia) and the delivery of business seminars to promote cooperation between the European companies and local buyers. Local buyers working in the premium F&B sector, including importers, distributors, retailers and hoteliers will be introduced to some of Europe’s finest quality F&B producers. On full display will be the European producer’s attention to safety and standards that underpin Europe’s status as a world class supplier.
